All right. So before we get started, I'd like to share a little bit more about my background so you know who's teaching you today. So I have over 12 years of student affairs experience. I've worked in student activities, student engagement, service learning, as well as residential life. I published a book, Other Duties as Assigned: Student Affairs on Semester at Sea, while I was serving as a living learning coordinator on Semester at Sea.

I was also interviewed by the New York Times on Suitcase Schools, and specifically what student affairs administrators do at these different types of institutions. I completed my doctorate in two years, eight months and 30 days, which was one of the records for my program while I was working a full-time job in student affairs. Right now I serve as the provost at the jobhakr.com for student affairs professionals in their job search process. And my fun fact is that I have been seasick in every time zone.
